keep on keeping on
Jan. 8th, 2007 02:43 pmYeah, so...once again not a whole lot to say. We had a weekend. Now it's Monday. Etc.
Thanks to
boniblithe for reminding me that I had signed up for this thing called LinkedIn. It's this networking thing where you can connect yourself to former coworkers (and other people you know) and then you're connected to THEIR former coworkers, and so forth...so you can network to try to find jobs, or whatever like that. Kind of neat. I wasted way too much time yesterday and today tracking down people I know on this thing and hooking myself up to them.
Today I've been making a fairly halfhearted attempt at cleaning out the hallway...which is one of the banes of my existence, apartment-tidiness-wise, because it's where the changing table is and where all laundry (both clean and dirty) winds up, generally in random piles...not to mention the ever-growing bags of clothes that don't fit either kid any more / yet. How completely crappy was that sentence anyway? Two ellipses?! Yeesh. Anyway, I haven't made a whole lot of headway on the hallway, what with Ruthie making trouble at every turn, but there's slight progress to be seen.
I did go through Ruthie's too-small stuff and make up a fairly large bag for
orbitalmechanic's impending new arrival. It's a little tricky to figure out what to give her since the Widget will be the same age as Ruthie but, we presume, smaller. But how much smaller? We just dunno. So she's getting all of Ruthie's recently-outgrown stuff, as well as some "outgrown a while ago but I only just now admitted it" stuff and some "outgrown a while ago but it might still fit on a small 9-month-old? maybe?" stuff. We shall see. Anyway, it makes me happy to pass this stuff on and contribute in my little way to the beginning of the Widget's new life. :)
eek, Ruthie just pulled my alarm clock-radio down onto herself...gotta run O.O
