odd sights

Yesterday I was driving home from work along Rt. 2, which is a fairly major highway. I was passing the intersection with the road that leads to Walden Pond -- you do occasionally see pedestrians at that intersection, although it isn't common. But on this particular day, there was a guy crossing the street at the light. And he was carrying a large turtle.

Now that's something you don't see every day. :) Not around here, anyway!

What?? There's more?

I just walked in 90-degree weather to my friend J's house to get her lawn mower, the loan of which she had offered me weeks ago and now that my housewarming party is a mere two days away I thought it was high time I took her up on it. Whew.

So I walked there, and walked back pushing the mower, which was all fine, except for the 90-degree part. Now I'm dripping with sweat and ready to call it a day.

What's that you say? I have to actually DO something with the mower now?? Damn. It's always something.
