Yesterday I was driving home from work along Rt. 2, which is a fairly major highway. I was passing the intersection with the road that leads to Walden Pond -- you do occasionally see pedestrians at that intersection, although it isn't common. But on this particular day, there was a guy crossing the street at the light. And he was carrying a large turtle.

Now that's something you don't see every day. :) Not around here, anyway!

Meep! Thanks to the FMA debate, I will never again be able to hear about a man and his turtle without going to dark, unholy places in my mind.

LOL!! Ew! No no no. He was a park ranger, returning the wayward turtle to its natural habitat. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

It scares me to no end that this crossed my mind, too - as an ironic comment, of course, but still, it did cross my mind. Do we need to worry about an underground sex slave trade in underage turtles now?

Um. No.

It seems highly appropriate that this would be seen near Walden Pond, though, wouldn't you say?
