Now my computer won't boot up at all, which explains my odd silence all yesterday ('cause I did have stuff to say!). It's really annoying. I was able to read email on the Mac, but it's soooooo slow (going from 550 mHz to 120 is not fun) so I didn't have the patience to read all my lj friends and other stuff, let alone try to post on lj.

Tonight I'm gonna have to reset the BIOS on the computer and see if that will at least convince it to boot up and, like, load Windows and stuff. How dumb was I to go mucking in the BIOS without first making note of all the settings? Sigh.

And yes, [livejournal.com profile] azurelunatic, I do have grand plans to install linux, at least on one of the Macs. But first I need to get the attachment for the switchbox so the two Macs can share the monitor. I'm not ready yet to install linux on the Windows box if it means giving up Windows entirely -- too many apps that I don't think I can do without!

Anyway, Saturday night I had a bunch of interesting dreams and woke up Sunday going "must write these in lj before I forget 'em!" and then was quite annoyed that I couldn't, so I'm gonna do so now, before they slip away even more than they already have.

I know I had other interesting dreams that night, but those are the two I remember clearly. I seem to have more vivid dreams, and to remember them more fully, at certain times in my monthly cycle. It's interesting that both those dreams involve babies, but in neither case is it *my* baby, which is a departure from my usual dream motif.

I'm catching up on all the posting I couldn't do over the weekend because of computer problems. Sorry! :)

most useless test ever, hee hee )

I think I may have an ant problem. It's one thing when you see one ant every now and then, but three ants in the same place at the same time is getting dangerously close to being An Infestation. I don't necessarily mind sharing my space with the earth's creatures (at least, relatively harmless ones like ants) but I did catch one ant in Bini's food bowl trying to carry off a kibble, and I can't be having with that. So I might be buying ant traps. We'll see.

I *did* get a fair amount of cleaning done at the apartment over the weekend, which is nice. There's still a lot to do, isn't there always? Sigh. I suck at housework. At least I finally hit on the idea of using my curtain rod (which I bought to put curtains in my cubicle at the old job, but now I have my own office so no need for curtains) to create an extra row of hanging space in my closet, which makes me feel quite clever, and also frees up a lot of space in my bureau, which I can use now for random clothing stuff, and later clean out some more space for Plan G.

There was a small-world moment at the wedding on Saturday, when I discovered that this chick I knew from college was the sister-in-law of the bride. Too funny!

I think that's all for now, but who knows, I could be posting again in another five minutes. :)

This is just evil and wrong. And not in the good way.
