I don't suppose that means we can lure you out to Colorado for a game?

...can you get tickets? Somehow I'm skeptical...

(Psst! Just tell her that WorldCon is in Denver in August and she'll come running!)

the tickets go on sale today at noon; anyone with a computer has an equal shot. And we have such ambivalent fans here. People are still trying to figure out when teh broncos switched to purple. It doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. :)

LOL. Here in Boston we get a kind of skewed idea of what buying baseball tickets is like. In almost every other major-league baseball city in the country, you can walk up to the stadium the day of the game and buy a ticket. If you tried that at Fenway they'd laugh in your face. The World Series tickets probably sold out before the game was even over last Sunday.

I was just chatting with a coworker about how she went to Game 5 of the ALCS against the Yankees in 2004. She bought the tickets off craigslist at the last minute, the day before the game. To quote her: "And they weren't even that expensive. He charged me $500 for two tickets." And I said, "wow, you lucked out!" And neither of us was being sarcastic. That's how it is in Boston.

woo-hoo!!!! I am just loving that guy Pedroia, is he awesome or what?

Also, do you think Martinez could have made that left field catch in the 9th inning like the rookie did? He seems so much faster than Martinez... that was a great grab!

I can't believe we will be in a cabin with no TV over the weekend, what the hell were we thinking?! Better remember to pack a good radio :)

Do you mean Ramirez? I wouldn't be surprised if he could have made that same catch. He likes to act the goofball but he's actually an excellent outfielder. And he knows that wall like the back of his hand.
