getting in under the wire
Jun. 1st, 2006 10:20 pmToday I am participating in Blogging For LGBT Families Day.
I am bisexual. It makes little difference in my life right now, since I'm not dating and don't expect to have the time/energy to date for quite a while yet. But it is a part of my life. I am bisexual and a parent.
I am proud to live in the only US State so far that allows same-sex couples to get married. Some (actually, most) of my best friends are lesbian, gay, bi, and/or transsexual. Some of my best friends are lesbian parents or lesbians trying to become parents. The rights of same-sex couples to marry, reproduce, and raise their kids in supportive environments are very important to me.
I hope that by the time my kids are adults, the genders of their chosen partners will be a non-issue in society at large. So mote it be.
Happy Gay Pride Month!
