home again, whee

I am off work today, but I got up at the usual time and did the usual commute, to take Isaac to daycare. I now have about half an hour to kill before my annual physical/checkup, after which I have the rest of the day to myself until 4:30 when I'll leave to go pick Isaac up.

I have big plans for the day, but it's likely that I'll wind up ditching most or all of them and napping instead. ;) I got little sleep last night, for which I have no one to blame but myself, as I was up chatting on IM until almost 1:00a.m. Yikes!

As evidence of just how boring I have become, I dreamed that I was making a grocery shopping list. Yes. I dreamed of myself with pen and paper, writing down "bread" and "limes" and "yogurt." How sad is that?

Today is Free Doughnut Day at Krispy Kreme! I shall drive over there later and partake. Also on the agenda for today is picking up the playhouse from anotherjen. I'd call her now but I think she might be asleep. Jen, if you see this (or even if you don't), I shall call you after my doctor appointment. Do you want to come along for the free doughnuts too?

what to do, what to do

Well, I had my doctor appt (went fine), then went over to anotherjen's house to pick up the playhouse she so kindly gave us. We had to take it apart to get it into the car, then I had to drive it home, unload all the pieces, hose them down at great length (several years' worth of dirt, bugs, etc.), and put it back together. Whew! So that took a while, and then I was soaked from the hose, and sweaty and tired.

In retrospect, a quick light breakfast followed by having blood drawn followed by an hour or so of physical exertion in the hot sun, might not have been the best idea. *g*

So, now I have 2.5 hours left to my "day off" and still the following things left on my tentative agenda: nap, shower, Krispy Kreme, grocery shopping. Oh, and I should maybe have something lunchlike. ;) I don't think I can squeeze all that in. Looks like I won't be getting my nap after all. Siiigh.

Maybe I'll skip the grocery shopping. Do we have enough food to make it till tomorrow? *ponder*
