frickin' weather

So yesterday was all warm, like 45F. (Shut up, 45 is warm this time of year.) This morning I woke up to the radio lady telling me it was 46 in Boston. I get up, check the weather forecast ... snow. That's right, it's predicted to drop from 45 this morning to the low 30s this afternoon, and the rain is supposed to turn to snow. Right around commute time. *headdesk*

And the rain made this morning's commute interesting. We still had a fair amount of snow hanging around from last week's mini-storm. I don't know if you're familiar with what happens when a large surface area of snow gets a large amount of rain poured onto it, but what in fact happens is a little phenomenon we like to call fog. Whee! Now, fog is cool, and I like it simply for the interesting/spooky factor. But it's kind of a bitch to drive in.

But anyway, I made it through, and now here I am at the office. And still horny, in case you were wondering. :P Oh, and Isaac went to sleep more easily last night. Still a bit more of a struggle than it has been, but nowhere near as bad as it was on Sat and Sun nights. So yay for that.

In other news, happy International Women's Day! And as always, that reminds me that I gotta call my friend Dave whose birthday is today. Happy birthday, Dave!

Snow's coming down pretty heavily. Coworkers leaving left and right, like the proverbial rats deserting a ship. Might have to consider joining them in the early exodus.

Goddamn fucking winter. Enough already!

I feel like it should be possible to do a "ten things I haven't done that you probably have" meme, but I can't actually figure out how it would work.

Included on my list would be: drunk an entire beer, owned a microwave. And I could almost certainly think of more if I weren't being forced to run toy cars through a paper-towel tube as I type this. ;)

btw, the drive was pretty messy but we made it -- left around 4:15, got home around 6.
