That British book meme. It's the recently released list of the top 100 books according to voters in a BBC poll. For the meme, you take the list of books and put the ones you've read in bold. I took a cue from tiggrrl and put asterisks next to the ones I'm not sure about.

I guess I should be embarrassed that I didn't bold any of the Jane Austens. I've tried to read several of her books several times and never succeeded. Just not my style, I guess.

A big woohoo to today's weather, which just "officially" hit 80 degrees according to boston.com (but I think it was already past 80 here; we get warmer sooner because we're farther inland). I'll be going out for a walk in the gloriousness, soon.

Isn't it funny how dramatically a bit of bright sunshine and a warm breeze can improve your mood?

Big chorus rehearsal tonight, with soloists and orchestra, at the concert location. It starts at 6:00 instead of the usual 6:30, so I gotta be sure to eat extra beforehand or I'll never make it through. Normally I go out to dinner with folks after rehearsal, but tonight I'll probably just come right home to watch the Buffy finale.

I'm mildly irked that my credit-card company got switched (long story) so now I have a new card number. I had the old one memorized, which was super-convenient. :P Ah well, I'm sure I'll memorize the new one eventually. But it's going to take me ages to update all the zillions of websites that still have the old number ... oy.

I still can't stop being amazed and delighted by the sensation of baby moving around in me. It just doesn't lose its appeal. Not even sometimes when it's uncomfortable bordering on painful, and makes me mildly nauseated. Nope, it's still an awesome feeling.

Hee hee, they're showing one of my favorite SNL reruns from the 90s. First Abe Lincoln calls Tom Hanks a pussy, and then, the "Wayne's World" sketch where the members of Aerosmith hold a debate on the future of socialism in Eastern Europe. Bwa! I love that episode. :)

I lent an "Angel" tape to a coworker of jenwrites, and she sent it back with chocolate attached. What's not to love? I am a whore for chocolate. Give me chocolate and I shall be your bitch.*

I'm amused because my alumni magazine reprints several "Get Your War On" cartoons, and blurs out several instances of the word "f*cking," but does not blur out the one instance of the word "sh*t." I know I'm the only person who gets amused by stuff like this, but whatever, it makes me giggle. :)
