I went outside around 11pm to look for the lunar eclipse, but it was completely cloudy and I couldn't see a thing. :( Maybe I'll have better luck with the one in November.

The mystery of the repeated calls on my callerID from area code 410 is solved. It turns out to be my buddy from Australia, calling from his friend's place near Washington D.C. where he's visiting. He'll be in Boston starting tomorrow and hopefully we'll be able to hang out.

Speaking of phones, my mom got a cellphone, which is completely shocking to anyone who knows her, because she has long been anti-cellphone (mostly because she thinks they cause brain cancer). But for various reasons she decided to give it a try, and now I'm all jealous because she has a flippy phone! I want a flippy phone! I like my VisorPhone for the geeky-cool factor, but honestly it's awkward to use and the sound quality is not that great. I've been thinking about replacing it for a while now. I found out that I can easily switch my service to a different phone, so I've been amusing myself looking into the different models and bidding on stuff on eBay.

Last night I watched the Buffy episode from three(?) weeks ago, "Empty Places." ("Spaces"?) I might have thoughts on it, later. Be afraid. Or bored. Or indifferent. Be whatever. :)

As always, from fridayfive.org.

1. What drinking water do you prefer -- tap, bottle, purifier, etc.?
Purified, but not bottled purified; or bottled spring water. I don't have a problem with drinking tap water in principle, but the stuff from my tap at home tastes strongly of chlorine. Ick.

2. What are your favourite flavor of chips?
I'm assuming this is the American sense of chips, not the British. So I'll say Doritos. I'm not really big on potato chips (British "crisps").

3. Of all the things you can cook, what dish do you like the most?
There's a pretty limited selection of things I can cook. ;) So I'll say my spaghetti and artichoke-heart dish. Yum.

4. How do you have your eggs?
Scrambled -- sometimes with cheese and/or broccoli, but usually not. And I like to put the scrambled eggs on an english muffin. Yum.

5. Who was the last person who cooked you a meal? How did it turn out?
I guess restaurant chefs don't count? ;) I don't know. I can't think of the last time someone other than me cooked for me. I don't think my mom heating up leftovers for me counts either. ;)
