tgif, too much to do
May. 9th, 2003 11:20 amI have a confession to make. I don't know what "emo" means. I see people using it as an adjective and it just confuses me. It makes me think of a guy I used to work with whose name was Emo. It's a mystery.
I went to Walgreens and picked up some cute baby-shower invitations. ($3 for eight invitations?? Yeesh.) Tonight I'll go over to my mom's place and we'll watch the Sox game and put addresses on invitations. It'll be fun. I'm also going to look at an apartment tonight, but it's on the fourth floor (with no elevator) and I think it might be out of my price range anyway. But what the hell, it can't hurt to look I guess.
Tomorrow we're going to set up my baby registry at Target (much wandering around and "shooting" things with the little scanner gun ... should be a party) and then I'm going to a friend's Star Trek TNG viewing marathon party. I'm tired just thinking about the day, but I know it will be fun. Maybe I'll get some actual sleep tonight, who knows.
( Friday Five, on organization or lack thereof )
I've been wondering whether being a mom will force me to get more organized. It didn't really do so for my mom, so maybe it won't. ;) Who knows?
( in which I blather about the difficulty of choosing a stroller/car-seat )
I'm sad that the guy who ran the choir/vocal-ensemble programs at my high school for many years, a great guy with lots of energy and enthusiasm, has quit and gone off to do other stuff. But I'm also endlessly amused to know that his replacement is a guy named Gene Kelly. Really, I swear, that's his actual name. LOL!! :)
