the mind boggles

A TV-Movie about the Enron debacle, starring Christian Kane. This Sunday, Jan. 5th, at 9pm on CBS. I'm not sure whether to be delighted or horrified. ;) I seem to recall feeling the same way when Ewan McGregor did that awful tv-movie about the stockbroker scandal thing.

Someone tell obsessedmuch, she'll want to have her VCR ready and maybe a couple extra pairs of panties. ;)

urgh

So every year I have this cookie-baking party. I provide the cookie dough and rolling pins and cookie cutters and all that, and my friends come over and we cut out shapes and decorate and bake and hang out and generally have a lot of fun. (And every year I beg, cajole, entreat and plead with my friends to take lots of cookies when they leave, but they don't, and I'm stuck with a ton of leftover cookies. Woe!) Usually I try to do it before the holidays, but this year it didn't work out because of my vacation, so it's tomorrow.

I just mixed a huge bowlful of cookie dough: twice the recipe. And then? I did the same again. Urgh. I think my stomach will rebel. I mean, it's not like you can let the bowl and the spatula and the beaters go unlicked, right? Twice! *groan*

In retrospect, maybe it would have been wise to eat dinner first. Urgh.

I hope four times the recipe will be enough. It might not be. But I'm out of flour.
