This morning when I got into my car to drive to work it was sunny and the sky was blue. All was pretty.

Then I got about halfway to work, and was coming down a long hill on a major road, and suddenly ahead of me at the bottom of the hill, it was all cloudy and dark and everything looked fuzzy. It was fog. Driving into it was like driving off Earth and onto another planet. It was bizarre.

The rest of my drive involves a bunch of small or medium hills, and as I crested each one, the next bit of road ahead and below was even foggier than the previous. By the time I went through the rotary and got onto the last stretch, the fog was actually surrounding the car and making everything look hazy. On the hillside where cows are often grazing, one could see murky, dark, vaguely bovine shapes: Cows In The Mist.

And then about a mile before the turnoff, the clouds started to part, the sun started to poke through, and I was back on Earth again. Now I've been at work an hour and it's bright and sunny and blue-sky here as well.

Definitely one of the weirdest commutes I've ever had.

I forgot to mention that, as usual, I got home late from chorus rehearsal last night and didn't get to see Buffy or Smallville. Tonight I'm going to the gym and then there's West Wing, so I might not get to watch them till tomorrow ... life is hard. ;)

Apparently right now I'm not getting any email. I suspect they're in the process of switching my domain over to the new server. I just sent myself a test message and it didn't go through so I can't blame yahoogroups. ;) I hope the not-getting-email means that they're holding all my incoming mail and none of it will be lost!

In other news, I had an Angel/Cordy type dream... )

So that was weird. And things are very quiet at the office today, a lot of people out sick or on business trips or whatever. It's kinda weird. Also, my back is killing me. I'm hoping that a workout will make it feel better.

Oh! and my brother finally called, so he's out of the doghouse... almost. ;) He loses brownie points for calling on chorus rehearsal night, the doofus. I gotta call him back tonight.

Okay, this confuses me. Here's a quote from an article on scifi.com about Firefly:
Fox has ordered two more episodes of its struggling SF series Firefly from creator Joss Whedon (UPN's Buffy the Vampire Slayer), raising its season total to 15, the trade paper reported. Fox had already ordered up six scripts beyond the initial order of 13 episodes.
Am I reading this wrong, or what? By my math, that adds up to a total of 21 episodes. The original 13, then another 6, then another 2. What am I missing? *scratch head*
