Isaac is Five Years Old today!! (But "Isaac is a handful" sounds catchier, don't you think? ;) )

It's so hard to believe how big my little guy is getting. snif snif.

Yesterday at preschool they had popsicles (which we brought in) and sang him "Happy Birthday" three times (LOL). And the teacher made him a crown that says "Happy Birthday Isaac" with sparkly stickers all over it, which he LOVES, and wore on the subway this morning and several strangers wished him a happy birthday. :) Also yesterday, all of his classmates at preschool made him birthday cards, which is sweet and cool, although the cynical side of me also says that the teachers probably just did that as a "keep them busy for a while" activity since it was too hot to go outside. ;)

Late last night I realized that I had not actually gotten Isaac a birthday present yet. *facepalm* I had been thinking of giving him the Razor Scooter that I have in the basement, but upon reflection I'm waffling on that. So I decided to pop out at lunchtime today and get him the new They Might Be Giants kids' album, "Here Come the 1-2-3s." Except Newbury Comics didn't have it. *double facepalm* Still, I picked him up a couple of things that will suffice, and maybe I'll manage to find a copy of the CD on Friday. (I'm taking the day off work on Friday to prepare for the party.)

Yes, I am redefining "slacker mom," why do you ask? *blush*
