At the least, [livejournal.com profile] tiggrrl and [livejournal.com profile] xochiquetzl might be interested in this: www.imearthkind.com. Vegan cheese that supposedly melts well, for pizza/nachos/etc.

BTW, I heard about it on [livejournal.com profile] vegreview, a community for reviews of various vegetarian products. You might want to check it out. I also joined [livejournal.com profile] vegrecipes. Isn't LJ cool? :)

Oooh?

Good vegan cheese? Is that possible? Cuz while I find most to all other vegan substitutes to be yummy and good, vegan "cheez" has been a joke in my house for a year now (1 vegan, 1 veggie, 2 omnis)...share if it really works for pizza and nachos.

And as for recipes...mmm, vegan french toast. and most vegan soups.

I haven't actually tried this stuff, so don't blame me if it sucks. ;) But the person on [livejournal.com profile] vegreview seemed to think it was decent.

I'm veggie myself, not vegan; I do eat regular cheese, so it's not really an issue for me, but I thought some of my friends might be interested. :)

OMG! Vegan, and with no oat products! I am amazed. And my local health food cooperative apparently carries it. I will have to check this out. Thank you!
