mamajoanMom tells me that she talked to my brother and apparently he is buying a house. This kind of boggles my mind, not just because 'dude, that's my baby brother!' but also because he hasn't really lived in one place or held down a single job for more than six months at a time, so what bank would be fool enough to give him a mortgage? But apparently there are banks that do this sort of thing for first-time homeowners. Wow.
Today at work, free Ben & Jerry's courtesy of our landlord. That's the kind of "tenant appreciation day" I can really get behind.
My G3 upgrade card for my PowerMac arrived today. *happy dance* Alas, I probably won't get around to installing it till tomorrow night, since we have plans tonight, but Friday night, that baby's goin' in there! Woo! I'm so excited. :) I even fired up MS Word on the Mac the other night, got a start on the next Buffy transcript, which is "Seeing Red" even though some chick had emailed me claiming she was going to do it, but then she disappeared, so I'm gonna shrug and assume she either didn't do it or doesn't want it posted. Whatever!
Note to self: Pieces that I must acquire CD of in the near future: Mozart clarinet concerto, Mozart piano concerto #21, Beethoven piano concertos 1-4, Haydn "Farewell" symphony (though I'd swear I have this somewhere; where could it be?).
