a new lj feature
Jul. 23rd, 2002 03:25 pmWell, it might not be new, but I just discovered it and it's cooooool.
If you create a friend group called "default view", then you will automatically see that group when you go to "www.livejournal.com/users/yourname/friends" (or yourname.livejournal.com/friends if you're a paid user). This is useful if there's someone you want to list as a friend but you don't want to see their entries on your friends page. You can still see your entire group of friends by going to "www.livejournal.com/users/yourname/friends?filter=all" instead.
A point to note about this is that it only works for you. If other people go to your friends page, they'll see everyone. So no one will ever know who you have filtered out in this way. Very cool stuff. :) Coming later: a post about this morning's adventure, potentially titled The Case Of The Disappearing Kitty.
