Today's Time-Waster

Today's time-waster, courtesy of Siubhan, has been putting pieces of text into Babelfish (http://babelfish.altavista.com/), translating them into other languages and then back into English, and laughing at the results.

My favorite so far is the Pledge of Allegiance (non-under-god version) translated into Japanese and back:

I loyalty stand to the American flag and the republic, freedom and justice and divided impossible one nation because of everything you pledge.

And the Pledge translated English-French-German-English:

I place the allegiance in pledge also at the flag of the United States of America and at the republic, which he represents, an indivisible nation the liberty and the law for all.

The Buckaroo Banzai motto, "No matter where you go, there you are" renders from English to Japanese and back as "You doing, somewhere, there is you there." Deep!!!
