Jan. 18th, 2008 05:56 pmWell, the guy at the hardware store didn't bat an eye at being asked to re-cut the four keys, but did say that if they still didn't work, I would have to bring him a different copy of the original. This strikes me as somewhat illogical; what if I didn't HAVE another copy and that was, like, my entire problem? I do have one (or that is,
anotherjen does) but that's not the point.
Anyway, it turns out that two of the four now work. Groan! Possibly the other two will start working if I jiggle them enough. Otherwise I have to decide whether it's worth the bother of going back to the guy yet again. sigh.
In other news I received an informational packet in the mail today about kindergarten selection. A little too late, considering that it contains a lot of the info that I had managed to glean from repeated web searches, phone calls, and email lists -- with much bitching and moaning about how hard it is to find info -- but oh well. Now I can content myself with pondering how they got our name and address. It was addressed to "the parent or guardian of xxx, Isaacs" (xxx being our last name) and S is Isaac's middle initial (Solomon) which probably explains the erroneous "s" on the end of his name, so I'm guessing they got the info from something that had his first name and middle initial on it. Which would seem to rule out his birth certificate, but I could be wrong. Maybe from WIC?
Anyway, that's irrelevant, the main point being that I got the packet and can now start filling out the registration forms, woohoo. I love filling out forms; I'm just weird like that.

I know that you changed ages ago, but I forgot to mention: love the new username!
