mamajoanI dreamt that I was getting married (to a man, although he never actually appeared explicitly in the dream). It was an enormous wedding, to be held outdoors. Preparations were under way, the space was being set up and huge hordes of guests were arriving. I was flitting around basically just being nervous and keeping an eye on the proceedings, although I wasn't really needed, because my mom and other people were handling everything. I remember at one point I was walking along the lawn where the chairs were being set up, and thinking that once the ceremony started I would probably start crying like crazy. ;)
Then I started heading back toward the main area and saw, standing a foot or more over the heads of everyone else in the crowd, Big Papi himself, David Ortiz. Apparently he had been schmoozing and partaking of the free appetizers but was leaving before the actual wedding began. On his way out, he passed by me and I said teasingly, "Well, thanks for coming to my wedding!" and he was all "omg it's the bride!" and gave me a huge hug and wished me well.
Then people were sitting down for a formal meal (before the ceremony?? wtf, LOL) and I started to sit down but then realized it was almost time to put on my wedding dress, so I got up and told my mom that I was going to go upstairs to my hotel room and get the dress and put it on.
And then I woke up, very disappointed that I didn't get to have the actual wedding. LOL!
Well, I described it poorly, but it was a very vivid dream. The sense of anticipation was palpable, and although I say that I was extraneous during the preparations, it wasn't a bad thing -- it was pleasant, wandering around through the big crowd of people, not needing to do anything, but knowing that I was basically the reason they were all there. I guess it's pretty obvious what this all means. ;) I want to be the center of attention, but without having to actually do anything. ;)
