I found this guy on craigslist who is selling the exact model of camera that I want. (link)He bought it in August so it's somewhat used, but still under warranty and he has all the packaging, cables, manual, etc. He's asking $175 for the camera plus a 512MB memory card. New on Amazon it's $230 (free shipping) and only includes a 16MB memory card.

I'd probably offer a lower amount and see what he says, since it might be worth it to me to spend the extra $55 for a new one. But then again, that is a lot of money to me either way!

See if you can meet up and try it out. Make sure all the buttons work and stuff. Ask him why he's getting rid of it, as you don't want to end up with something that randomly shorts. Maybe his reason for getting rid of it won't be something important to you.

Thanks for the link. I checked it out, but that deal appears to be gone, 'cause I couldn't even find the product on the site. :(
