zzz...plus links ;)
Sep. 27th, 2007 04:44 pmUgh, I hate to sound like a broken record, but...another bad night with Ruthie last night. Sooooo tired. I'm really tearing out my hair over what to do here. I'm thinking I need to try something really different, other than putting her in the crib OR in my bed, neither of which seems to be working. I sure dunno though. sigh.
I was so tired that I totally spaced on lunch plans with
whuffle, but fortunately she reminded me ;) and we had a nice lunch and chat. yay.
Thanks to [
ww1614] (oops, my bad, it was actually
mizu_gami) for pointing me at this YouTube video which will help restore at least a little bit of your faith in humanity. A young girl singing the US National Anthem before a ballgame forgets the words, but a stranger from the audience, and then the entire audience itself, comes to her rescue.
Also thanks to someone on a parenting forum for pointing me at this other YouTube video in which a woman sings, to the tune of the William Tell Overture, all the things she says to her kids on any given day. Totally hilarious.
One more link, the One Laptop Per Child project is doing a BOGO where for $400 you can get a laptop sent to a child in a third-world country, and a second laptop sent to you! OMG teh awesome. In case I never mentioned, we had a presentation here at the office a few months ago from the woman who designed the OLPC machine, and it is some seriously cool technology, not to mention an awesome project concept. I really hope they succeed.
I was going to write more, but I'm too tired. fortunately the workday is almost over....
