ugh, sad news

Was in the middle of composing a weekend-update post (summary: we did nothing exciting, I do not apparently have strep) and just got derailed by an email informing me that a former coworker died yesterday of a sudden ruptured aorta. :(

He was a good guy...not sure exactly how old, but couldn't have been more than 45 tops; leaves a wife and two little kids. Sigh. :(
