Harvard Yard this afternoon

mamajoanOn one side of Harvard Yard this afternoon I saw the hunger strikers. About ten students are on a hunger strike to encourage/bully the university administration to come to a settlement with the newly unionized security guards. I believe today was Day 6 or something like that, and already one student has been hospitalized for dehydration.
On the other side of Harvard Yard I passed this touching scene: Two students lying on their bellies on the grass, each with a laptop open in front of him/her. Their heads lying on the bit of grass between the two laptops, kissing.
I, on the other hand, was never that young, and now am nine thousand years old. However I did also spend $65 at the Gap, so now I can be one of those lame old folks who dress like they think they're ten years younger. So at least I have that going for me. ;)
