ahh April, you cheeky monkey
Apr. 2nd, 2007 10:31 amYesterday felt like June. Today feels like October. Welcome to springtime in New England!
I wanted to do some kind of an April Fool's Day post, but couldn't come up with anything really good. The best I thought of was to say that I let Isaac cut my hair, but it would only have worked if I had mad photoshop skilz to provide fake evidence. ;) Anyway,
sandykidd took care of the foolin' for our family in fine fashion. As for me, I doubt I'll ever top my post from four years ago, when I was pregnant with Isaac, and posted that I had just found out it was twins. ;) Several of y'all even bought it! ;)
Also, the appliances in my home played a mean April Fool's joke on me yesterday by changing the time -- not all of them, but a few. Enough to cause QUITE a bit of confusion for me and Isaac. Silly electronics.
That's probably also the explanation for my dream last night. I dreamt that I got up in the morning and got ready for work and into the car, and was driving along and thought to myself, "hmm, I know it's supposed to rain today but still it is *awfully* dark." Then as I was parking the car, I noticed that the clock said 5:30 and I thought "hmm, that's odd." I got out and got on the bus and asked another passenger what time it was and she said "It's almost 6:00am." I was like, yikes, I should still be asleep! So I got off the bus and went back home and discovered that the kids were still asleep, and was relieved that at least I hadn't disturbed them in my getting-up-too-early error. For some reason my friend Maria was there too and she said "what do you mean early, it's 3:00 in the afternoon," and I said, "no, you must have changed your watch," and she was like, "well duh, it was Daylight Saving," and I was all confused.
Man, my subconscious is boring! ;)
