happy frickin' day to me

mamajoanNot even 9am yet, and already I want a do-over.
My birthday thus far:
* Woken up too early by baby.
* Couldn't put on my bathrobe because the sash fell into the toilet last night, ew.
* Fastest shower ever, with two kids whining the whole time.
* Phone call from the city's automated notification line, letting me know that a snow emergency has been declared effective 10am.
* Phone call from Isaac's preschool letting me know that because of the aforementioned, they'll be closing at 1pm.
* Ruthie fell off the changing table and banged herself up. She appears to be fine. Still, googling head injuries was not how I planned to spend my birthday morning.
Fuckin' whee, man.
On the plus side, since work isn't expecting me till 11 on Fridays, and I'd have to leave at 12:30 to pick up Isaac by 1, I think it makes sense to skip it and just work from home. Which means I might actually get a couple of hours at home by myself! Granted I'll be on the clock, but still, blissful home alone time! It has been weeks!
Also have to find time to swing by mom's place and get the present that she left for me there. What could it be?
