Actual baby clothing slogans that I have seen:

"Does this diaper make my butt look big?"

"NO means Ask Grandma."

"Hot to Trot"

You won't catch any of those on MY child any time soon, believe me. Okay, #2 is just obnoxious, I guess, but #1 and #3 are downright offensive. IMO.

On the other hand (or foot), you will catch these adorable socks on Ruthie quite frequently. (It says "boy" but apparently that just refers to the colors -- the "girl" set has different colors.) We got them as hand-me-downs from a kind internet pal. They are so cute, and they always get comments when we're out and about with them on -- the stars are a real eye-catcher apparently. They're starting to get a bit tight on Ruthie's ankles, but I can't bear to give them up yet.

I saw the first one a couple days ago at Target. It's pretty horrifying, don't you think? People wonder why their children become horrible monsters, and yet they buy them t-shirts with trashy, snarky slogans on them. If I wanted my son to have a horrible attitude and no respect for anyone, sure, I'd dress him in that stuff. But I don't, so the stupid makes me just want to move to another planet.
