mamajoanI called today and learned that I get 30 weeks of unemployment, rather than 26 as I had thought. So, I still have 12 weeks left. It still doesn't seem like much, but it's better than the 8 weeks that I thought I had.
At some point I should write about what I've learned about welfare (now called TAFDC: Transitional Aid for Familes with Dependent Children), but it's too depressing, and this is supposed to be a good-news post, so it'll wait.
In other news, Ruthie is very proud of her new skill, clapping. We live our lives to constant applause these days. :D
