mamajoanBriefly, because it's late: We got phone and internet back around 4:30pm, though we had to sacrifice our nap for it. Fixing it took a long time. Apparently something (I suspect the garbage truck) basically ripped out the phone wire leading from the pole to our house. The wire was dangling in the street, causing a major hazard to traffic. The fire department came and just wrapped it around the pole to get it out of the way; then the phone company came and strung a new wire.
I know it's short notice, but we'll be doing the cleaning committee thing Saturday morning, starting around 9am. If by any strange chance you'd like to join in, please feel free. Bagels and donuts will probably be provided, as well as pizza (or other lunch of choice) around lunchtime.
Ruthie keeps saying something that sounds a lot like "Isaac." I'm sure it isn't. It can't be. But it sure sounds like it.
