mamajoanWell, after I wrote my stressed-out post yesterday, Brian came back from returning the UHaul (which apparently was an odyssey unto itself) and Sally brought Isaac back, and they helped me get some of the clutter cleared out. Brian took some of the stuff from Aunt Ruth's place that he wanted, and helped put some of it into the basement, and Sally helped consolidate the rest of it so it wasn't taking up the ENTIRE living room. So I felt a lot better about that. Then Sally also helped me straighten up the kitchen a bit and move the black table thingie into its new home.
I really like the black table thingie that I got from Aunt Ruth's. It's just a fairly basic table, about 3 feet high and maybe 2 feet square, but it's really nice. And I like the way it looks with our two kitchen chairs from Ruth's, which don't actually match the table but go with it nicely. I put a booster seat onto one of them, for Isaac, so now Ruthie can claim the high chair for her own. She actually sat in it this morning and had Cheerios while Isaac and I were having our morning bagel. It was almost like we were having breakfast together as a family! omg! :)
anyway, more about the late Aunt Ruth and her Stuff later; right now I need to go enjoy the last half-hour of my kidfree time for today.
