grump, grump
Oct. 20th, 2006 02:16 pmWell, it's not surprising, but still unwelcome: I appear to have caught the cold that both kids have been fighting (and passing around between them and Bastian and Justin) for a week or two now. I feel like crap today. Siiiiiiigh. Guess it's time to try to line up some childcare for the weekend. I don't know whether I'll even feel well enough to go to the Vegetarian Food Festival tomorrow. :(
And today's crop of mail was highly annoying. One (1) letter from Blue Cross informing me that the stupid pediatrician's office billed them for Ruthie's 6-month checkup (despite me giving the receptionist our new MassHealth card and her taking the LONGEST time about entering it all into the computer). One (1) letter from MassHealth telling me that they've been informed that I'm employed now (wtf?) and I have to fill out a form telling them whether that is so, or else they'll cancel my benefits. And one (1) new/replacement debit check card from my bank, replacing the one that's about to expire -- which is nice, I guess, except that about a year ago they said they'd send me the PIN so I can use this card as an ATM card as well as a check card, but they never did. So I'm still using my old ATM card when I need to make withdrawals or get cash back, which is really annoying.
Grumpety, grumpety, grump.
And Isaac is TOTALLY full of energy and going completely nuts being cooped up inside on a rainy day with none but a sick mama and a baby for company. It's gonna be a looonnnnng winter.
Guess I better go make another cup of tea. GRUMP.
(p.s. On the bright side, the mail also brought me the official birth announcement for
lightningrose's son, which is totally adorable. Aww.)
