shelbecat tells me that someone reading this, who chooses to remain anonymous, sent her money to cover the cost of shipping some of her daughter's outgrown clothes to us. So, whoever you might be, Shipping Fairy, thank you! And thank you too, Sherry, for offering it, and for boxing it all up and sending it, which I know is a lot of effort to manage when you have a kid to wrangle and are still dealing with a move, etc., etc.!

I can't wait to get the box and fondle all the nice girly clothes. ;) I also recently got, in case I haven't mentioned, a nice box of girly clothes from the kind lightningrose. The feminist side of me is deeply, deeply ashamed by how much pleasure I get out of dressing my daughter in pink. *hangs head*

On the bright side, when we go out in public, people are always assuming Isaac is a girl because of his longish hair; and they assume Ruthie is a boy because of her relative lack of hair, and the fact that she's so often wearing blue (Isaac's hand-me-downs). So at least I'm still subverting the gender paradigms to some small extent. heh.

In other news, tonight my mom brought us fresh bagels, cream cheese, and a rather large pumpkin. :)

And I had a pretty productive day, but that's a post for later, as it's time to go check on dinner now.

Right after we found out Caspian was a boy (oh the shock!), we bought him a pink winter hat. It finally fits him and I lovelovelove how he looks in it. Pink is a great color on him! I bet Ruthie looks great in pink too, because she has sort of the same skin tone/hair color as Caspian. I hope you post pictures of Ruthie in something girly!
