I hope all goes well. Still sending good vibes your way.

Aw, that sucks. Hope the operation goes well, if you have it!

Had my gallbladder removed when I was a teenager because of gallstones, too. (They're hereditary. Grandmother, father, and sister all had it too.)

Doh, my friend had his gallbladder out a couple years ago, it definitely sucks to get gallstones. Fortunately it seems to be a pretty easy operation and recovery. HUG, sending lots of good thought your way.

What IS it with the Evil Twins and the gallbladders? Did you use to be conjoined there?

I hope this clears up the stomach problems, anyway. Happy surgery and fast recovery vibes!

Update on chlaal

[livejournal.com profile] chlaal's brother here. She's going to be staying in the hospital overnight and getting the surgery tomorrow. Her littles are staying with grandma tonight. She's basically okay, just a bit worried about what the meds might do to her breast milk.

She's not in any pain (thanks to the aforementioned meds), but she is, not surprisingly, rather stressed out. Please send her calming vibes so she can get some sleep! And send a few over to grandma's house so she and the littles can too!

Not sure which meds she is on, but if she needs to pump and dump for a bit (or the meds reduce her milk supply for a bit after the surgery, etc.) please let her know that I have lots of frozen milk she is welcome to have.

As of last night she wasn't sure if she'd have to. I'll be sure to pass along the offer, though. Thank you!

She should be okay w/ percoset, but of course ask the doctor (that's what they gave me post c-section, and I was able to breastfeed while on it).

And have her ask the anesthesiologist about how long she'll have to dump her milk, post surgery. Mine said 12 hours, but I waited 24 (she might also want to check w/ her pediatrician).

Please let her know that I didn't want to be right, but it just sounded too familiar (I had my gall bladder out 6 weeks post delivery). If it's a laproscopic surgery, her recovery should be relatively easy. Passing on {{{healing vibes}}}}.

They did seem to be indicating that the surgery would be laproscopic. She was about to be put on a mild dose of Morphine when we left the hospital (about 11:00pm). The anesthesiologist was going to talk to her in the morning so she might know more now...I'll have to call and ask.
