a saturday

mamajoanNot much to report for today. Slept late in defiance of my body's desire to wake up at 7:45 (when my alarm usually goes off on a work day).
Went clothes shopping because, as usual, the onset of warm weather has made me decide I hate all my clothing. Or, not hate, but just that I don't have enough summery pants/skirts that are appropriate for work. (I don't wanna shave my legs and don't yet have the courage to go to work in shorts with hairy legs, so....) Got a pair of pants, a broomstick skirt, and a bunch of cheap shirts/blouses on sale. While browsing the bras, was approached by a nice black couple who wanted to admire my tattoo. Quite cool. :)
Then, went over to mom's place to do laundry and check on my bike. I dug out the tire pump and filled the tires; if they're flat again next time I go over, I'll know they need to be replaced (strongly suspect this will happen). I need to buy a helmet, and then need to go over on some Saturday when mom is actually home, because I need to borrow her station wagon to transport the bike to my place. It'll NEVER fit in my car.
I also watched the Sox game (painful loss to Yankees) and the final two episodes of "24" while playing with mom's kitties. Then, went grocery shopping, bought a huge assortment of veggies, brought them home and ate Twizzlers instead. Well, this healthier-eating thing is going to involve a learning curve, evidently.
Watched three episodes of QAF-US and am now, what, four or five behind? But at least I'm making progress! Justin is still the cutest little gay boy ever.
And now gotta get to bed; going casino'ing with Melissa tomorrow. Wish me luck!
