Basement flooded; can't do laundry (washing machine in flood area); no hot water (water heater in flood area). Sump pump apparently nonfunctional. Some papers, books, etc. probably ruined. not happy.
Suck! I massively hope that the rest of your Mothers' Day (and first mother-of-two day!) went better than that. Here's also hoping that less is ruined than you fear.
I second the freezer advice, and if you have clothes that get moldy, you will bow down to the glory of OxyClean, I swear. Perp's christening gown got *covered* in mold, mildew, and g-d only knows what else, and now it's spotless. Spotless!
