bed progress
Feb. 28th, 2006 08:45 pmSo tonight we went over and picked up the free pink toddler bed from Craigslist. The lady was very nice, said that she got it off Craigslist herself for about $40 but then decided she didn't like it with the decor in her kid's room. I offered her some money for it, but she refused.
It's just as I thought it would be, the sturdy plastic that Little Tikes uses for all its stuff, and it snaps together/comes apart fairly easily. Good thing, because otherwise it probably wouldn't have fit in my car.
Just one small issue: no mattress. This is pretty standard from what I've seen. No one sells/gives away the mattress when they sell/give away a toddler bed. That's okay because my mom seems to be saying she'll buy us a mattress anyway, because she doesn't like the idea of getting a used mattress. Mattresses on Amazon/ToysRUs seem to run between $50-$90, and we have something to return that's about $25 anyway, so we should be able to get a new mattress fairly cheap, I hope.
Anyway, progress. Woo.
