From a few days ago, here's Isaac wearing my shoes, which he randomly decided to put on one evening:







And from today -- I gave Isaac a much-needed haircut. I had been resisting for ages, because I love(d) his long hair, but the fact is, it was getting really shaggy. And he was constantly wiping it back out of his eyes and ears. And I didn't trust myself to not give him another mullet, so I sadly had to cut the long curls in the back too. Snif!

Anyway, so here are the "before" pictures, taken while Isaac was playing on my bed. He loves doing somersaults.

Tonight, a while after the deed was done, we were eating and I muttered something to myself about how uneven his hair was in the front, and Isaac announced, "My hair is beautiful!" :D And later while brushing his teeth he looked in the mirror and again said, "I have beautiful hair!" :D So I guess he isn't too traumatized by it at least. ;) Ah well. I'll get used to it eventually....

lol yeah, she's pretty excited, except that she has a lot of other stuff going on in her life right around the time of our due dates, so it's stressful in that sense. But somehow it will all work out....

I think he has beautiful hair too. So why not let it grow and put it in a ponytail? I admit there is an annoying in-between stage when the front hair is too short to fit in the ponytail but too long for bangs. But I love ponytails on men. No, he's not going to be a man for years yet; I do know that.

I *was* sort of planning/hoping to let it grow out to the point where the front hair would no longer qualify as bangs and it could all be put into a ponytail -- but it just became clear that it was annoying him (he was really pushing it out of his eyes ALL the time) and just didn't seem worth it. Especially since he's too little at this point for me to explain that we have to go through this annoying in-between stage to get to the next stage. Maybe in a year or two we'll try again.

I also kind of suspect that his hair is too fine for a ponytail anyway. But I can't say for sure.
