mamajoan: me in hammock (waaah)

A few days ago my mom had offered to have Isaac sleep over at her place tonight. But with the storm supposedly approaching (as of the latest forecast we're predicted to get up to 15 inches by tomorrow afternoon), we had to change our plans. Snif. So, instead I took him over there right before naptime and then left, planning to go pick him up just before bedtime. But my mom just called and offered to drive him back so I don't have to go out again. Aww. I am grateful for that, because I wasn't really looking forward to it.

I should have taken a nap this afternoon while I had the chance. But I didn't. After leaving my mom's place I went grocery shopping, which took way longer than it should have, because I was a zombie from all the lack of sleep and this morning's poop adventures. (Also because the supermarket was packed, as you might expect on a Saturday with a big storm due.) By the time I got home, fed myself, took a few minutes to chill out, and put in a load of laundry, it was too late to reasonably take a nap. Of course, I contemplated doing it anyway. But then I decided I was still hungry so I ate more food instead. Sigh.

Oh well. On the bright side, I shouldn't have any trouble sleeping tonight. Let's just hope Isaac cooperates.

It should be interesting to see whether this storm really pans out as predicted. Of course, it has already fooled the forecasters several times; they originally said it would start snowing today, in the late afternoon, and be done by midmorning. Now here it is 8pm and still not a single flake, and they're now saying it'll really get going in the wee hours. I just hope it doesn't spill over too far into Monday and make the morning commute a problem. But first we have to survive tomorrow. At least we have plenty of food....
