Am I the only one who noticed a MAJOR grammar goof in the "Smallville" season finale?

When Clark comes home and finds his parents reading the newspaper article about the plant shutting down, there's a close shot on the front page of the paper, and the sub-headline clearly reads, MANAGEMENT INCOMPETENCE SITED.

Augh!!!!!!!

That should be "CITED," in case you're not seeing the problem. I really can't believe they let that slip by. The grammar cop in me is twitching and frothing at the mouth.

Omigod--that's funny. I would have noticed if I weren't dreamily mooning over Lex.

C'mon--other than the disgusting grammatical error, how great was that finale?! It was great, wasn't it?!

Yes, I'm still happy.

And he wasn't even in that scene! ;)

It had far too much Lana, but otherwise, yeah, it was pretty great. The slashy scenes were WAY slashy. :)

Omigod--when Lex was all freaky about the "friendships built on lies" thing in the Fortress of Barnitude?! I thought I *was* reading fanfic.

I don't dislike Lana the way a lot of people do. But I have to admit to fast-forwarding through most of her scenes with Whitney, which are--if possible--even more boring than the Gunn-Fred stuff on Angel.

LOL! I had that thought too.

I don't actively hate Lana; I just find her boring and lame. Actually, the same goes for Gunn and Fred. I like them individually, and even as a couple they were cute at first, but they moved into Snoozeville pretty damn fast.

Either that, or it's a really bad pun.

I thought of that, but I don't really give the Smallville writers that much credit. ;) Anyway, it would be a stupid pun, because WTF does it mean?

Maybe that the paper is so low-quality that they can't even proofread their own headlines? Maybe it was making a point about the paper?

I'm with you on not giving the writers that much credit for subtlety, but I can't believe no one would notice that.

That's hilarious... obviously, the paper's management is a bit incompetent, too.

They *did* say it was a rush special edition. The Ledger usually comes out once a week, and I think that issue came out... probably about eighteen hours after the initial scene with Lionel being a bastard.
