belatedly, an actual update
Feb. 7th, 2006 12:53 pmWell, until all that "excitement" happened, I actually had several posts I wanted to write yesterday, but I never got to them. And now I'm all busy with work and stuff. But here's the brief weekend recap.
Both weekend days, we had a lazy quiet morning/early afternoon. We just hung around the house playing and stuff. (oh, and Saturday Isaac also had a bath, which he hated. ugh.) Then naptime. I forced myself to stay awake both days during naptime! Snif. I spent naptime on Saturday baking muffins and on Sunday doing my taxes. Whee.
Saturday after nap, I dropped Isaac off at grandma's house, picked up
metafrantic and
sandykidd, and we went off to the Hot Foods party chez
roozle and
sunspiral. As always, it was a great party and fun was had by all. I was sure glad that I had decided to leave Isaac behind, even though the party was kid-friendly, because it was SO crowded (as always) and I would have spent the whole time chasing him around and not been able to actually enjoy myself. And he had plenty of fun with grandma anyway so he didn't care.
Sunday after nap, we went over to grandma's house for dinner and the commercials, um I mean the Super Bowl. ;) I'm not all that big on football, but it was fun to watch anyway, and Isaac got totally into it. (Although he kept calling it "the baseball game," LOL. It's all sports to him.) He was interested in the commercials too. He especially liked the Budweiser one with the baby horse trying to pull the wagon, and the one where Godzilla and the robot give birth to a Hummer. Personally, I liked the Jackie Chan-Diet Pepsi one best.
Here are a couple pictures of Isaac riveted to the Super Bowl...

The hazards of game day: if you get up for so much as a minute, someone takes your seat!

Ah well, there's always room for one more.

further updates as events permit....
