chivalry lives on
Feb. 3rd, 2006 03:51 pmHeh, it amuses me to walk into a crowded meeting and see half a dozen people jump up to offer me a seat. One time a couple weeks ago I decided to actually stand through a meeting because my back was bothering me -- and I ended up having to interrupt the meeting proceedings to explain this, because people kept trying to convince me to take their seats. Hee hee.
Not much to report at the moment really. TGIF. The weather continues to be strangely springlike despite Punxsatawney Phil's predictions. On the other hand, yesterday I was reading an article about the unusually mild winter we've been having (all over the USA, apparently) and it said that in another week or so the temps are going to drop and we're going to start having more seasonally-appropriate weather. I was afraid of that! I've been having trouble enjoying the warmer weather lately because of that nagging feeling that the other shoe was bound to drop eventually. On the plus side, at least we made it through January and into February. Maybe by the time things start cooling off, it'll be time for them to start warming up again for actual springtime? I'm not counting my chickens though. I still have vivid memories of the big April Fool's Day snowstorm of '98!
