cutenesses
Feb. 1st, 2006 05:29 pmIsaac was in fine fettle yesterday, cuteness-wise. Maybe it's partly because I hadn't seen him in nearly 24 hours. ;)
We were playing in a large cardboard box in the living room (upstairs neighbor got a new dishwasher, we got a box) and Isaac decided to bring his truck into it. He calls it his "big truck" although it's not that big. It's a Matchbox truck, pretty much looks like this except with a more generic logo on it.
Anyway, he brought the truck into the box, then he went and got some legos and brought them in and wanted me to make a tunnel to put the truck through. (This is a very common activity for us, putting vehicles through lego tunnels.) So I made a tunnel.
So there we are, inside a cardboard box with a truck and a lego tunnel. And it goes like this: first he says "hello big truck!" Then he gives the truck a kiss. Then he puts it down and pushes it through the lego tunnel. "Bye-bye big truck!" Then he maneuvers the truck back around to the "front" of the tunnel again. "Hello big truck!" Another kiss. Back through the tunnel. Repeat....
LOL. I said, "you never give your mama a kiss goodbye like that!" He ignored me. ;)
The other day I was tired and I sat down heavily, with a sigh and an "oy!" And Isaac said, "Silly mama, no oy!" :D
We've been listening a lot to the song "Little Boxes" (lyrics), a subversive folk song which is kind of about conformity. It starts out, "Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes made of ticky-tacky," so one day I sang "little Isaac made of ticky-tacky" and he said "Noooo!" and I said, "well what is Isaac made of?" and he said, "Little Isaac made of yogurt!" :D LOL! So now we sing it that way instead. :D It's true, he eats a lot of yogurt....
