indescribable sensations
Jan. 30th, 2006 03:17 pmWow. There is some serious yoga or something going on in my uterus right now. It is freaky.
It seems that Cosmo has reached the point where s/he is big enough that it's getting harder to move around, and thus, his/her movements (changing position, as opposed to just pummelling me with hands and feet) are more uncomfortable. It feels like ... plate tectonics. Okay, well, I did say "indescribable" in the subject of this post! Plate tectonics is the closest I can come to trying to explain this sensation. Like things moving up against each other that are too big to comfortably do so. Luckily, the likelihood of volcanic activity is pretty low. A small tsunami of amniotic fluid isn't out of the question though.
And on that possibly somewhat surreal note, let me switch gears to say that I'm up to 20/24 on the second part of the intelligence test and it is still Teh Evol. And anyone who tries to tell me there's a third part is going to die horribly. Horribly I tell you.
I am trying to carb-load today as instructed, in preparation for the gestational diabetes test tomorrow. Carb-loading is not hard for me as carbs already comprise a significant percentage of my normal diet anyway. ;) But carb-loading while avoiding sweets is proving a bit more difficult. I will not visit the coworker with the bowlful of mini Snickers on her desk...I will not visit the coworker with the bowlful of mini Snickers on her desk...I will not.... AUGH!
Wish me luck!
