more suck! :(
Jan. 27th, 2006 10:17 amMan, the suck just keeps coming, doesn't it?! Literally minutes after I posted my sympathy post last night, someone else on my flist posted that a friend of hers had died of a sudden heart attack. (Name withheld because it was a locked post so I don't know if she wants to keep it private or what.)
Now this morning
xochiquetzl and
d_and_cats, and I from a distance, are saying a sad goodbye to Persephone, one of the best kitties who ever graced our lives. Rest in peace, Persephone.
And I just got an email at work saying that a coworker's nephew died. I didn't realize, but apparently this coworker was raising her nephew (whose age wasn't given) and he lived with her and everything. We weren't told how he died either, but does it really matter?
Yeah, I think it's about time to boot January's ass out the door. And hope that February will be kinder to us all.
In other sucky (but less fatal!) news, this morning when I was writing my check to daycare, with the new increased rates that kicked in this week, I realized that the balance in my checkbook was less than the amount of the check I was writing. (By about $1.33, but still.) *facepalm* Time to rush over to online banking and make an emergency transfer from savings ... sigh.
(EDIT and then I discovered I had made a math error in my checkbook, so I actually was overdrawn by $101.33. AUGH!!!!)
