Here are some pix of Isaac playing with his new trainset from grandma. These were taken on two different days as you can tell from the wardrobe change. :)

One of his favorite things to do is make the trains "crash" off the track. Much drama accompanies this. First he says "Uh-oh, there's no more tracks right there, the train's gonna crash!" Then he makes the train go off the track, and says "Uh-oh, the trains crashed! Better put them back on the track!" LOL.

Here he's showing me where the train is coming out of the tunnel. He LOVES making them go through the tunnels. Every morning the first thing he says when he takes out the trains is, "Wow, I have TWOOOO TUNNELS!" :D

It cracks me up when he lies down on the floor to get closer to the trains.

LOL. He is so funny with the trains. However, I think those black-and-white checkered pants have to go. What do you think? Cute, or hideous? ;)

Great photos. I think the pants are cute, but then again I think I was the one who handed them down to you. :-)

LOL. As I was typing that, it did occur to me that whoever gave me those pants was pretty likely to be reading this.

I honestly can't decide whether I think they're cute or not, which is why I keep putting them on him. :)

And how do YOU know [livejournal.com profile] chlaal?!?!?!? :) Fancy meeting you here. ;)

Oh yeah, trains rule. Crashes can be fun, too. Give him a few years, then upgrade to electric. >:)

Um... Who are you? Hard to tell from your pic.

Guess I need a better pic...

Justin. Met you at, let's see, PolyBoston, OKCupid, Pagan Pride, [livejournal.com profile] sunspiral's parties... All over the place. :) We totally missed each other at a T station one night a few years ago when we were supposed to meet and hang out, and both felt awful about it afterward.

Come to think of it, you travel so many social circles, it's no wonder you know [livejournal.com profile] chlaal... :)

I thought you were Justin, but I didn't want to guess and then have you say "Who the hell is Justin?! Don't you know it's me, [insert other name here]?!"

I met Chlaal via a website for single mom house sharing, http://www.co-abode.com. I later decided I didn't want to share a place with another mom because I enjoy my kid-free time too much, but it was too late - she had already gotten attached to me. ;-)

Yeah, she has a way of doing that. :)

I worked with her, what, 9 years ago now? Kept in touch for a while, then lost her, then found her again on LJ.

Maybe [livejournal.com profile] chlaal is the center of the universe...

OMG, you still have that ball rolling thing we gave you?

My kids got way too frickin' much for Xmas. 1. There's no room and 2. they're spoiled.

Yes, he actually still plays with that toy, which is the only reason it's still taking up space in the living room! He still loves to put his cars in it as well as balls. I bet it's only a matter of time before a Thomas train finds its way into that thing.

He's adorable! And it brought back fond memories of playing "Derailment" myself with Brio trains. No, not from my childhood (did they even have Brio back then?) From my kids' childhoods.

I think the pants are cutely hideous, or hideously cute. What I mean is my reaction to them is to say "That's sooooo ugly" but with a big smile on my face.

Brio trains have been around a long time, but I'm not sure if they go back as far as your childhood. The ones he plays with at grandma's house are from my childhood though!

Just looked on www.brio.net and it says they started making trainsets in the early 1950s.

I think I feel the same way about the pants. On an adult they'd be hideous, but on a cute little kid they can only be cute.

they are the same type of checker as an engineer hat. Get him one to match, and it would be adorable!
