Tonight I gave Isaac a haircut, which came out very unfortunately mullet-esque. :( As usual, immediately after finishing, my first thought was "What have I done??" Will I never learn? ;P I was trying to keep the feeling of long hair, but just trim it out of his eyes and off his ears. I guess not cutting the back at all was probably a mistake. But he really hates having his hair cut so I left it alone ... I suck at this anyway so even if I tried to fix it I'd probably just make it worse. Hopefully in the morning it won't look too horrible. ;)
I did take some pictures but none of them came out great. Here are the ones that are halfway decent:

Notice how my child almost always has his tongue hanging out. ;) It's a thing.
Gratuitously, there's also a pretty cute picture of the two of us:

Also tonight, I was down in the basement putting in some laundry and thought I'd look in a box to see if it contained a jacket I've been missing. It did. It also contained, to my surprise, two pairs of maternity jeans. I guess I knew I still had them, but somehow had forgotten. Anyway, one pair is pretty tight (I did after all start this pregnancy about 25 pounds heavier than the last one) but the other pair was pretty comfy. So yay. I also found some flannel pajamas which, although I don't think they're specifically intended as maternity, served that purpose for me last time because they were a bit too big. So yay for that too.
In other news, I was quite surprised to learn today that not only do
pekmez and
zubatac have LJs, they also have a baby! As of two weeks ago, apparently. No one tells me ANYTHING. *pout*

Date: 2005-10-12 03:28 pm (UTC)In my case, having a LJ is in fact a consequence of having a baby. I'll probably have to give it up when I reenter the Real World[tm]...
By the way, what do you have against mullets? Are you a fishist or something? =)
