Whoa, it is super windy outside right now. I guess this must be the remnants of Hurricane Rita or something? Wild! If this keeps up it's going to be quite the interesting baseball game tonight.

Speaking of which, a coworker offered me a ticket to tonight's game. Apparently two tickets fell into his lap and he's looking for someone to go with him. Alas, I had to tell him that I can't find babysitting on such short notice, and anyway I'm going tomorrow night. Maybe he should scalp the other ticket, hee hee.

I feel like crap today. I woke up at 3:30am with the most horrendous heartburn ever. I seriously thought (or hoped) I was going to die. I was lying on the bathroom floor sweating and shivering and hoping not to barf. I never did barf, and eventually the pain did pass and I went back to bed and slept a bit more. But when I woke up again, I still felt like crap. This shit SUCKS. I am so ready to be done with the first trimester, kthxbi.

The preceding paragraph was the extremely condensed version of the much much longer whiny post I spent most of the morning composing in my head, but had no time to actually post. Consider yourself lucky.

I got a new prenatal vitamin from Trader Joe's and unfortunately the pills are enormous. I took one about half an hour ago and I think I can still feel it in my chest. It doesn't seem to have gone all the way down. This sucks too. Why does my digestive system suddenly hate me??

The Trader JOe's prenatals make me sick to even smell them, let alone taste them. The best ones I found are the ones from Target. They're small, smooth, pink, and taste-less. I actually have over 1/2 a bottle (100+ pills) sitting around, unused since I'm no longer TTC. Do you want them? I've been trying to find someone to give them to.

If they are vegetarian, I'd love to have them. But if the bottle doesn't specifically say vegetarian, I'll pass. I'm paranoid like that. Thanks for the offer!

I'll check when I get home but I doubt Target would label any of its vitamins veggie.

I have been taking the target ones, they are not vegetarian (I don't think). They do not upset my tummy at all.

For some reason, your subject line has me humming an old cowboy & western song: They Call the Wind Mariah. Go figure.

It's kind of windy (OK, very windy) here in Toronto today, too. I was also wondering if it had anything to do with Rita. If it is, that's remained one heck of a large weather system even after all this time.

I was thinking of the song "The Wind Cries Mary," which I think is by Jimi Hendrix?

I'd forgotten that one. Silly brain cells.
