updates and randomosity

mamajoanBTW, sorry about the semi-incoherent post from last night, heh. Yeah, it was a pretty great baseball game. I'm glad I went, even though I didn't get to bed till midnight (between getting back to my mom's place, retrieving Isaac, getting home, etc.) so I'm still pretty damn tired today. Not as bad as yesterday, but still quite tired. I sense it's going to take me a while to recover from these last few days of bad sleep. Tomorrow I'm working from home and the day will almost certainly involve a nap.
Funny things from last night's game:
* (upon seeing a guy go by dressed as Elvis)
Me: Gee, if I'd known the King was going to be here, I woulda brought my camera.
Mom: Elvis has entered the building, ladies and gentlemen. Thangoo verra much.
* (at a critical point in the game)
Me: (singing) Here comes the Wave again! Whooshing past my head like a memory! Distracting from the game like a new emotion!
* (upon getting an excellent view of Johnny Damon's ass while he was in the on-deck circle)
Me: Ooh, I LIKE these seats. ;)
Isaac did pretty well with the babysitter last night, gave her some trouble going to sleep, but at least he DID go to sleep. And stayed asleep through being transferred from bed to car, driving home, driving around the block several times in search of parking, and then the 3- or 4-block walk from where I eventually parked to the house. I put him down in his crib and not a peep. Whew! I was pretty nervous there.
In car news, I just called and they said they are just waiting for the insurance to approve a little more money for repainting, and then they'll repaint the car and it should be ready by Friday. Yay!!! Only three weeks after the accident! :P

ww1614 came out to the cottage on Sunday with her husband and kids, which was fun. We splashed in the water and had a cookout and the kids ran around on the lawn like crazy. Good times.
Randomly, I also want to mention that I saw a bumper sticker I just loved: "Midwives help people out." Get it? Get it? :)
