I got one of those spams that pretend to be from PayPal telling you to update your account info, but then (if you're stupid) you actually end up giving all your personal/financial data to spammers.

The only problem was, the email came from "CostumerSupport@paypal.com".

Now, some of my best friends are costumers, and I think that's very cool, but I personally have never really been into that particular aspect of fandom.

Sheesh. I almost feel that anyone who falls for this one *deserves* to have their identity (and all their money) stolen. I mean, come on, people.

Aaaarghh. I nearly did the very same thing this morning. The spammer had sent a message to the mailing list address spoofing a paypal.com address. My list server sent the list challenge back to paypal.com, which sent an automated reply, which, thankfully, went to me or the two of us could have been playing email ping pong all day. I didn't click on any links but I wasted several minutes trying to figure out what was going on.

Curse these stupid spammers.
