a great fall...uh, summer
Jul. 8th, 2005 04:35 pmThis morning as I was changing Isaac's diaper, he looked up at me and said out of the blue, "Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall." Huh. I didn't think he knew that one. :D
Isaac is totally into singing lately. He sings all the time, especially when he's playing, or in the car when he's bored. He is really into the "oh where" song which I do all the time, whenever I'm looking for something: "oh wheeeeeeere oh where has [whatever] gone, oh wheeeeeeere oh where could it be?" I believe the original was "my little dog." Anyway, the other day we were driving home from work/daycare and I had told Isaac that we were going to gramma's house, so he started singing, "Oh where oh where da da graaaaaaaa-mabee, oh where, oh where..." LOL. Also while
sandykidd was here she sang to Isaac a lot, especially this one kittycat song that I don't know, and I've heard him singing it in the car a few times already.
He went through a phase a few months ago of wanting to be sung to and constantly saying "more song!" but he just liked listening back then -- now, if you do one he knows, he'll sing along! And often he'll just start singing on his own: either a "real" song, or pure improv. Last night I think I got him on videotape singing "The Itsy-Bitsy Spider."
I just love it that he likes to sing so much.

Date: 2005-07-09 05:40 pm (UTC)Kitty-cat, kitty-cat, where have you been?
I've been to London to visit the queen.
Kitty-cat, kitty-cat, what did you there?
I frightened a little mouse under her chair.
If you want the words to the other songs, I'll pass them along, too. Tickle him one for me, eh? Heehee! Super Isaac!!
